Early in the month residents staged a variety program for the entertainment of Craigholme residents, Apartment tenants visited Strathmere Lodge and took advantage to Shop in Strathroy one afternoon enjoying a drive in the craigwiel Van together. Norman Stanlake Urquhart, manager of the, local Canning Factory, was present and outlined some of the history and problems regarding the canning in- cinstry, The local factory has been a great source of revenue for the rural people in this area and has provided em- ployment fora great many working people in this district. A small gift was presented to Mr. Urquhart in ap- preciation for -his timely address. A delicious lunch brought a very enjoyable evening to a close. FLOSSIE CORNISH At South Huron Hospital on Friday April 25, 1980. Flossie Cornish in her 89th year. Wife of the late Francis Cornish, Mother of the late Garfield and Clayton Cor- nish. Survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Burial was in Zion Cemetery on Monday April 28, 1980 from the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home. Beloved wife of Alfred and dear mother of Julie (Mrs. Dan Arnold) Seniors off to Seaforth Once again the Senior Citizens are' on the go. Monday a good number of Exeter senior citizens returned a visit to Seaforth Club about 60-70 strong. They left Exeter in several cars about 11:30 and arrived in Seaforth in time to sit down to a very lovely dinner provided by the ladies of Seaforth Senior Citizens which everyone enjoyed. We met and chatted with old friends before being treated to a picture show of one of the ladies who had visited other countries to the south. • Card tables were setup and about an hour and a half Of progressive euchre was played to mix the crowd up and everyone got acquainted until it was time to leave for home and call it another day well spent in uniting our senior citizens.
