The parlour of Knox Presbyterian Church, Goderich, was the
setting for the marriage of Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Mrs,
Betty Wilkin of Goderich, and Peter Everett, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Graham Mason, Exeter. The Reverend G. Lockhart Royal
officiated'. Music was provided by organist Mr, Lorne
Dotterer, Miss Kelly Suchard was soloist. Mr. James Wilkin,
brother of the bride gave appropriate readings. Attending
the bride and groom were Miss Ann Haines of Toronto and
Mr. Doug Fairbairn of Exeter. A reception followed the
ceremony at Pineridge Chalet, Henson. Mr. and Mrs. Mason
are residing in Goderich.

of the Elimville Young Peo-
ple attended a meeting at
Fullarton United Church.
Miss Cathy Heidel from
London who was in the
Dominican Republic when
the hurricane went through,
was the speaker. All the
young people enjoyed hear-
ing her.

semi-annual meeting of the
Federated Woinen t s,
Institute of Ontario,
The tloard Directors. and
Executive met in Toronto
this week making decisions
that will affect the 28,000
members in Ontario as well
as parts of the world, With
1980 being proclaimed "the
Year Of the W.I.," the
members were urged to be a
strong force,for the good of
their communities,
Mrs, C. Diamond, the
Provincial President, along
with the Secretary Mrs. J.
Van Sickle, led the.
deliberations and decisions.

for flowers
The Flowers of Hope
campaign for the South
Huron and District
Association for the Mentally
Handicapped has set its goal
at $13,000 thisyear.Campaign
chairman Donna Greb says
that last year the canvass
brought in $12,437 when their
goal was $11,000.
Mrs. Greb says that
canvassers will be going
door-to-door asking for
donations. Small packages of
marigold seeds will be
handed out, The door-to-door
canvass is the major fund
raising activity of the
assiciation.
The major portion of the
contributions goes towards
the rehabilitation of the
mentally handicapped. The
association operates ARC
Industries, Dashwood.
The next special event will
be W.I. week June 2-6th.
Visitors are invited to view
this beautiful home and its
artifacts from 9 a.m, to 3
p.m, on week days and the
home will be open on
woekenc14. during July and
August.
The Federated Women's
Institute of Canada urged the
members to study and
support Canadian Unity with
programs wherever
possible. The Adelaide
Hoodless Homestead at St.
George, the birthplace of the
founder welcomes support
and visits from the Mern,

Over a thousand Mid-
dlesex County public school
students will perform at
Alumni Hall, University of
Western Ontario, when they
present their annual spring
concert on Wednesday, May
14 at 8:00 p.m.
Among those performing
will be choirs from twenty-
five elementary schools,
concert bands from Lord
Dorchester, Medway, and
Strathroy secondary schools,
string ensembles from
Southdal.e and Colborne
Street Public Schools in
Strathroy, and the concert
orchestra from Strathroy
District Collegiate Institute.
The program will include a
medley from "Anne of Green
Gables" and a variety of
classical and contemporary
selections. All choirs will
combine with the Strathroy
orchestra for a medley of
songs from "The King and I"
by Rogers and Ham-
merstein.
Under the direction of
many teachers, students
have worked for several
weeks preparing for the
concert. Tickets are
available from the schools
and may also be obtained at
Alumni Hall on the evening
of the concert.
