and ice skates. Brad Page carries the inner tube, while his wife Shirley brings the toboggan
and daughter Patty wears her skates. The only problem was finding a place to leave your
car in the very crowded parking lot.

`TAKE NOTE"
As of March 1, 1980, an Act
Grand Bend council is
finally taking a. step
towards its dream of an
expanded village, Reeve
Robert Sharen announced at
Tuesday night's council
meeting that three or four
lots at the south of the village
are going to be annexed.
The landowners, currently
in Bosanquet township have
asked that they be annexed
into Grand Bend. The area
includes half of the Pinedale
Motel owned by Irwin
Schottroff, The Bluewater
Motel owned by Xavier
Boogemans and Bluewater
Tourist Accommodations
owned by Bill Peckitt. At
present the boundary line
between Grand Bend and
Bosanquet runs through the
Pinedale Motel.
The three property owners
have said that they would
like to be part of the village
so that they can have sewer
hook-ups.
In a later interview,
Sharen said that they'd been
quiet about annexation
lately. A map showing the
areas the council would like
to see annexed still hangs in
the council chambers.
Sharen said that they will
talk more about annexation
when they are sure they
could win if the question
went to'an Ontario Municipal
Board hearing.
Annexation plans
originally included all the
area south of the village to
the KlondYke road and the
Pinery Park boundary.
Sharen said that in par-
ticular the village should
include the Kest of Southcott
Pines, Beach 'o Pines and
the Van Dongen. subdivision,
They would also like to take
in the area. north of the
village to include_ Oakwood
and Grand Cove Estates up
--to the waterworks hawing.
Sharen said that a by-law
to annex the areas requested
by the three landowners will
be read at the next council.
meeting, Bosanquet town-
ship council has not yet been
told of the annexation plans,.
