the day, Plans were made to
go to the Bluewater Rest
Home.
Mrs. Vern Alderdice
chaired the program and
read an "article on, "Where
did all the people go?"
Mrs. Al Hoggarth in-
troduced the guest speaker
John. Thomson of Kippen
who has returned from
working for a year in Saudi
Arabia,
It was a rewarding and
learning experience, He
worked with a U.S. firm on a
work visa. It was a pleasure
to hear that, in Saudi Arabia
there is no sales tax and
foreigners are not taxed on
their salaries.
Also no interest can be
collected or paid by banks.

hosted the February meeting
of the Cromarty Marion
Ritchie Auxiliary at her
home Tuesday evening.
President, Mrs. Alec
Miller presided 'and opened
with a poem, What God Hath
Promised, followed by the
hymn, Love Divine. The
Scripture lesson, was read
by Mrs. Carter Kerslake,
followed by prayer by Mrs.
Alec Miller.
Mrs. Robert Laing had
prepared the introduction of
the Study Book on Human
Rights and this was given by
Mrs. Alec Miller, She then
presented the first chapter
on the Human Watchdog
assisted by Mrs. John
Templeman, Mrs, Carter
Kerslake and Mrs. Lloyd
Miller.
Nine members and one
'visitor answered the roll call
by giving a verse on Love.
During business, members
decided to send a delegate to
the Synodical at Brantford.
Prices were set for binding
and marking quilts. Three
quilts have been completed
and a fourth will be in the
frames at the Family Life
Center February 26.
Mrs. Lorne Elliott
prepared a topic on "New
Standards of
Measurements" which was
read by Mrs. Jean Carey.
For her special number Mrs.
John Templeman gave a
reading, "What Is A Far-
mer."
