gained two points in three
South Huron hockey league
games this week. Monday
they were edged 5-4 by the
Goderich Merchants, they
dropped a 7-3 Thursday
decision to the Exeter
Mohawks and Sunday af-
ternoon defeated the Cen-
tralia Marauders 9-3,
Sunday afternoon the
Sher woods scored four
unanswered goals in the first
period and notched two more
early in the second before
the Marauders found their
scoring range.

top speakers
On Thursday, l'reCious
Blood School held their inter-
school public speaking
contest.
Greg Fleming, school
trustee representative, and
Laurie Kraftcheck, principal
of Precious Blood were the
judges.
The speeches were dif-
ficult to judge because of
their wide variety of topics.
They ranged from the four
seasons to babysitting to
daydreaming to com-
mercials to the funniest of
all, methods of delivering
speeches.
Mr. Fleming, before an-
nouncing the final standings,
stated that all students who
participated were winners.
The final standings with
