Rev. Ray Brewster's '
message was about God's
gift' to us. He asked some
si3reavers "Who Ithey'"Were
special to. Their answers
were to Jesus and to God.
From John 3:16 Mr.
Brewster showed how God
loved us so much He gave
His Son as a gift to us to die
to save us, Mr. Brewster
asked Mr. Kaune to say the
Scout's promise which has,
as their first duty, to serve
God.
As God's gift to us is Jesus,
our gift to God is believing in
Him, and serving Him. When
we do this we can love and
serve others.
Rev. Ray Brewster led the
worship song service for the
evening service. Joan
Lockyer played her guitar as
she sang "His Eye is on the
Sparrow."
Rev. Brewster ministered
from 1 Timothy 2:1-3 and 2
Chronicles 7:14. When we
are told in 1 Tim.to pray for
our government it means
every day. We need to pray
for God's guidance for them
;in leading the country. This
does not mean we will have
easy times, as the Bible tells
there will be hard times. As
we trust God, He will meet
our needs. Our part is to
continue in prayer, and
watch for the answer with
thanksgiving.
When Paul and Silas were
beaten and imprisoned they
prayed and sang praises.
God sent an earthquake and
set them free. This is the way
to see answers to our
prayers.

Holy Trinity Anglican
Church
Holy Communion. was
celebrated on the 6th Sunday
after Epiphany, at Holy
Trinity Anglican Church,
Lucan, by Rev. F. G. Kirby.
Speaking from I Corr Mr.
Kirby asked the question
"What is the simple
gospel"? It is a series of
historical statements that
Christ was born, suffered,
died and was buried, He was
raised to life and appeared to
people.
However, it is more than
historical facts. It is about a
timeless figure who belongs
to every period of history. He
was not just concerned about
life in Palestine at that time
but also with life in our
country, in our town, right
now.
Ray 'cowman received
thanks for supplying ex-
cellent music at the services
during the month of
February.
