opened with a poetic. Mrs.
Jack Drysdale was in charge
of the Devotion in keeping
with Valentine Day she
chose for the Theme "Love':
The Hymns scripture and
address closed with the
Lord's Prayer. Business was
discussed. General meeting
will be held March 3rd at
8:00 p.m. World Day of
Prayer will be held on March
7.
Valentine Euchre
The C.P.T. committee of
the IOOF and Rebekah
Lodges held a most suc-
cessful Euchre party on
Valentine Night with the

March 3 at 8 p.m. This Unit is
to meet at 7:30 p.m. This
meeting is convened by Mrs.
Christie the subject being
"Church in Society" Mrs.
Edith Landsborough to be
guest speaker. The World
Day of Prayer will be on
March 7 in Hensall United
Church. This Unit will place
flowers in the church in
April, The Annual beef
barbeque will be in Hensall
United church April 23rd.
Plans were for the
Presbytery luncheon at the
church February 26th to be
served by the Unit. The
meeting closed with the
Benediction. Mrs. Ferg,
Mrs. J. Consitt were
hostesses using the
traditional Valentine's Day
motif.
Women's instil ute
The Hensall Women's
Institute met at the Hensall
United Church on Wed-
nesday evening. The
President Mrs. Cecil Pepper
opened the meeting with a
poem "The Power of Love"
in keeping with Valentine
Day, followed by singing "0
Canada, The Ode and Mary
Stewart Collect. There were
thirteen members and one
visitor in attendance. Two
minutes silence was ob-
served in memory of a very
faithful member the late
Mrs. Sara Simpson.
Correspondence was dealt
with, several items
discussed. The Exeter Fair
list is one half apron, toaster
cover, four place mats and
flower arrangement dried
and fresh flowers all in
keeping with your kitchen.
Mrs. Gertenkorn demon-
strated floral arrangements
using silk flowers also had
several pieces on display
which were beautiful. Mrs.
Pepper thanked her and
presented her with a gift.
Diane donated a lovely wall
hanging in wicker and
flowers which was won by
Mrs. Madeline Harburn. The
meeting closed by singing
the "Queen", Crokinole was
played and a delicious lunch
served by Mrs. Gladys
Coleman, Mrs. Alice Ferg,
