about grants
A meeting of- the Exeter
Senior Citizen's advisory
committee was held in South
Huron Hospital board room
on February 12 with 14
members present.
The speaker for the
meeting was Richard Hewitt
from the New Horizon
Grants Program. His talk
was -very informative and

without the efforts of the
senior citizens working
together for the good of all.
New Horizons is a
program developed in 1972
by the Department of
National Health and Welfare
to encourage retired
Canadians to become more
actively involved in the life
of their community by the
distribution of cash grants to
groups of older people to
assist them in carrying out
projects of their own
choosing.
