with his newspaper was Ken
Johns who made so much
noisewith hispaper that the
other occupants became .
quite annoyed. Others
followed, eventually the
bench was full and some
were crowded off the bench
finally all got up and, left in
anger,
Bob Heywood then came
on the scene and in his
general willing manner gave
a program on his accordion
playing and singing sacred
songs and hymns, the crowd
joining in very lustly.

Craigwiel Apartments will
ar$ue the point in -fact.

Exeter Senior Citizens
held their February meeting
in Legion Hall Monday with
a pot luck dinner being
served by the Ladies from
the Rebekahs. About 60
members were present.
The ladies were thanked
for their generosity in of-
fering to serve the dinner.
One of their members
replied to say hoping they
would be privileged to do the
same next year.
The President opened the
• program part of the meeting
with e poem entitled "What
if God would go on strike".
Roll call was given by the
secretary Mrs. Thompson,
with those in attendance
answering.
A copy of the meetings to
be held each month during
1980 were given and a list of
members given their duties
to look after programs and
setting of tables throughout
the year. Treasurer then
gave her financial report and
they are in good shape.
The next meeting will be
geld March 3 at 2 p.m. with

For the'second consecutive
year the Nairn Mennonite
Church held its annual
meeting throughout the
week, the congregation has
opted for a Sunday meeting.
Beginning in the worship
service in the morning
reports were given by the
pastor, church council
chairman, Christian
Education Committee,
Music Committee, Willing
Workers, Torchbearers,
M.Y.F., Vacation Bible
School and Choice Books
with a view to "what God
has done through us" and in
a spirit of thanksgiving.
Many of the members
brought a sandwich for lunch
and fellowship was enjoyed
together over the brief noon
break.
In the afternoon more
formal reporting was given
and officers chosen. This•
year a "Gift Discernment
Committee" was established
• which set out a questionnaire
for each member to fill out in
response to what they felt
were the talents of other
members and areas in which
they themselves had an

Set prices
for wheat'
The Ontario Wheat
Producers' Marketing Board
has announced the price for
Ontario wheat to processors
for domestic human con-
sumption has been set at
$178.72 per tonne f.o.b.
country shipping point for
the months of February and
March.
The price for December
and January has been $173.72
per tonne.
The increase reflects
! recent world wheat price
strengthening, and is in
keeping with federal
government pricing policy
which provides for Canadian
wheat to be sold for domestic
human consumption at a
range between $147.00 per
tonne and $183,90 per tonne,
other offices and committees
involved most of the
members of the
congregation.
Several reports were given
and recommendations
received, The budget of.
$35,802 for 1980 was
unanimously accepted.
A proposal for a Wilfred
Schlegel Memorial Fund was
affirmed and final decision
to be given by the
congregation on Sunday,
February 10 after the entire
congregation has had op-
portunity to study the
proposal.

the fire siren sounded in
Ailsa. Craig. •
The volunteer fire
department was called to the
farm of Robert Eagleson
when the chimney caught on
fire. Fortunately, the family
was able to have it under
control, by the time the fire
engine reached in the scene
very shortly after the word
had been received,
