Card party
at Whalen
A very successful card
party was held at Whalen
school on Saturday evening.
The men's high score prize
was won by Lorne Johns,
ladies high was won by Sadie
Damen, Larry Hern had the
most lone hands and Chuck
Fredin had low score.
At the conclusion of the
card game Earl French
presented Mr. and Mrs. Rob
Morley with a wedding gift
and welcomed them to the
community. Everyone then
enjoyed a social pot luck
lunch.
The next party will be on
Friday February 15 with
Margery Morley as con-
vener.
The sympathy of the
community is extended to
the family of David Baker in
the loss of a dear husband,
father and son. He shall be
greatly missed by all who
knew him,

Another euchre will be
held in two weeks, The east
group were in charge of
lunch refreshments.

visited Sunday in Zurich,
with Gloria's grandparents.
Saturday evening visitors
with the Beierling's were
Linda and Lou Zirk, of
Zurich area.
Cliff and Velma Russell
have returned from a two
week holiday in Freeport,
Bahamas.
