Sunday morning Bruce
Thomson, playing his guitar,
with Ken Allen on his violin,
accompanied Mrs. Lorraine
Armitage on piano for the
song service. Bruce
Thomson led the Children's
Church children in learning
a chorus "Jesus is Neat,"
Rev. Ray Brewster spoke
from Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14.
Solomon had everything he
could get in his life, but to
him it was empty. As sin will
separate us from God, we
need to keep a reverent
relationship with God.
Solomon came to the con-
clusion that our duty is to
fear God and keep His
commandments.
While Bruce Thomson and
Ken Allen played their in-
struments Rick Thornton led
the singing for the evening
service.
Ken Allen played his
violin, and Harold Fletcher
played his guitar while he
sang "You're My
Miracle," with Larry McGill
on piano, Julie McGill sang
"Don't Want to Fall Away
From You." Then Doug
Butler joined them to sing
"We Love Him More and
More."
Rev. Ray Brewster
Ministered from 1 Timothy
2: 1-2. Paul wrote that we
should pray for our govern-
ment and for all in authority.
Any plan of God comes about
when the church prays.
We need to pray for God's
plan and authority to come
into existence in the coming
election. Christians need to
pray for our leaders to have
wisdom to govern our
country. Our praying needs
to be in harmony for God's
will to be done even if the
answer is different than
we think it will be.
