Carl McMahon of the fund raising committee said it's hoped 200 memberships at $100 apiece can be sold in the club. The funds raised will go towards the final payments of the centre. The following is the list of donors: Donald Dixon, Donald Joynt, Vernon Alderdice, Earl Wagner, Tom Munroe, Ian Munroe, The Staff Bank of Montreal, Hensall, Ontario, Anonymous, Hensel). Motors Limited, Eric Luther, Carl McMahon, Leonard Lovell, Doug Shirray, Doug Mock, John Baker, Harry Klungel and Robert Caldwell. In other fund raising news McMahon says 33 skaters have not turned in $585 of funds pledged for the skate-a-thon some time ago. McMahon askes that all funds be turned into him at the Bank of Montreal in Hensel]. by November 30. For the bingo players in the area a fowl bingo will be held in December. SENIORS MEET Progressive euchre was played at the November meeting of the Three Links, Hensall Senior Citizens held on Tuesday, Eight tables were in play. Winners were; - ladies high, Mrs. Pearl Koehler, men's high, Stewart Blackwell, ladies lone hands, Mrs. Hilda Payne, gents lone hands, Clarence Volland lucky chair, Mrs. Alice Ferg. At the business meeting it was decided to hold an afternoon of carpet bowling instruction on Monday af- ternoon at 1:30 p.m. led by Mrs. Isabel Rogerson. All with cars were reminded to pick up those less fortunate for the meetings. There was some discussion about Hensall holding the next Spring Zone Rally and Mrs. Hilda Payne and Mrs. Isabel Rogerson agreed to find out the availability of halls in Hensall. Personal information of all members present were handed in to be used for a Leadership Developement Project financed by the New Horizons and being compiled by Harry Baker. "Cooking for one or two" a demonstration to be given at Exeter, and Huronview was brought to attention of members. Further demonstrations will take place at Huronview on November 27 and 30 at 1 p.m. Mrs. Irene Davis reported on the fall Zone 8 rally. She would like us to become a "Star" club of the U.S.C.O. as the organization does so much to help seniors. Mrs. Isabel Rogerson displayed two hand-hooked cushions and rugs made by the members for sale to raise funds for the club. They will be on display at the Flower Basket until the end of the year. Proceeds from the sale are to go towards the Arena Fund. A reception and dance honouring Major General Ernie Chipchase, Depart- ment Commander, Department of Ontario Patriarchs Militant Independent Order of Oddfellows was held in Hensall Community Centre on Saturday evening and was attended by some three hundred members by Patriarch Militants, Ladies Auxiliary Patriarchs Militant, Past Grand Masters, Past District Deputy Presidents, and friends also Oddfellows and Rebekahs. Chevalier Garnet flicks was Master of Ceremonies. "0 Canada" was sung also "The Star Spangled Banner". Rev. Harley Moore of Grand Bend said the Grace after which a most delicious dinner was served by the Units of the Hensall United Church, Lieutenant Colonel John Broadfoot P.G.M. His daughter Arlene Stiles from Thunder Bay made the programs which were a work of art. Presentations were made by Col. Bill Johnston of Watford and Alex McBeath from the Exeter Encampment. Christian; stewardship Rev. Kenneth Knight conducted worship in Car- mel Presbyterian Church on Sunday speaking on "Christian Stewardship" Mrs. Robert Taylor presided at the organ and led the choir in the anthem "The Bible Tells Me So". Choir practise will be held on Wednesday evening also the Com- municants Class at 8:00 p.m. Arnold circle Mrs. Don Volland presided at the November meeting of the Arnold Circle evening Auxiliary on Wednesday evening. The Worship was taken by Mrs. R. Mellenger on "Peace". Following the meeting a work party was held to make Christmas decorations for the Church. Refreshments were served at the close. London lady wins pork The Brucefield IOOF Lodge sold tickets on a side of pork and the lucky ticket was drawn at the reception and dance held on Saturday evening in honour of Major General Ernie- Chipchase and the lucky ticket was won by Lin Procter of London. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Holland, Gwen and Michael of Clinton were recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. James Sangster and Brad. Mrs. Edgar Munn returned home after spen- ding a few days visiting with her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Don Gooding and Dale in Parkhill. The many friends of Mr. Earl Campbell who recently underwent surgery in St. Joseph's Hospital London are pleased to hear he is recovering satisfactorily.
