Rev. Pat Cook observed the
Sacrament of Holy Communion on
Sunday at Knox United Church,
Auburn.
The hymn of praise Crown
Him with Many Crowns, opened
the service after the call to wor-
ship.
The message, The End is the
Beginning, followed the children’s
time and offering.
Rev. Cook invited everyone to the
sacrament table after the singing of
the hymn, Let Us Talents and
Tongues Employ.
The service closed with the
singing of hymn All Hail the Power
of Jesus’ Name.
An important appeal that deservesrepeating was noted in the church
bulletin.
As the season of giving
approaches, please consider
donating a small piece of the
priceless gift – time – to the clients
of Midwestern Adult Day Service.
Two short hours of your time once
a week or even once a month can
make the difference between a frail
senior remaining in their own home
or making that wrenching move to a
nursing home.
Providing a ride to an Adult Day
Centre keeps them actively
participating in community life. It
gives a caregiver a much-needed
break and it makes you feel like a
million bucks.

be processed and distributed to
needy children who are poor, sick,
hungry or traumatized by war.
