How does one begin to thank an entire community for the outpouring of support, caring and generosity we have received since Bob was tragically taken from us Sept. 5? We want to sincerely thank all those who have come to our home, attended visitation and the funeral. For the mountains of food we received, the vast number of floral tributes and donations to the Diabetes Association and all the cards we have received. To Barb Richmond, and Evelyn Blake for helping so much at our home. To Murray and Marlene Fischer, Al and Avon Corneil, and Michelle McNichol for serving us dinner between visitations. Thank you to Father John Johnston for officiating at Parish Prayers and the funeral. To Miriam and Debbie Terpstra and Michelle Blake for the wonderful music. To the pallbearers and flower bearers, it was so important to have people so close to us perform these tasks. To Ross McCall for delivering the memories written by Murray Fischer and myself, and to Amy Cronin for reading the scripture. There are just no words to adequately thank our Blake and Wasson families for carrying us through this. Thank you to Frank and Jennie Schimanski for their professional and caring guidance. Sept. 19 combines came rolling in – Murray Fischer with two, Don Fischer, Neil Mitchell, and our own Jim and Bruce and “poof” the beans were off! Two beautiful harvest days, these men left their own beans in the field while they did ours. How does one begin to thank people for such selfless acts of kindness and generosity? We just don’t know. We are just so grateful to be enveloped by all the wonderful people who make this community home. Thank you all so very much. – Clara, Kerry and Andrew, Christopher and Devin. 39-1 -------------------------------------------- CRAWFORD.
