Livestock for the week ending Sept.
28 were 2,887 head of cattle, 688
lambs and goats. On Tuesday the fed
steers and heifers sold on a steady
market. Choice steers and heifers
sold $82 to $85 with sales to $93.50.
Second cut sold $80 to $82. Cows
sold on a good steady market. On
Thursday veal sold $5 higher.
Lambs sold under pressure. Goats
and sheep sold steady. On Friday
calves sold $5 lower and yearlings
sold on a steady market.
There were 376 steers on offer.

Not much colour, but..
While the autumn leaves may be a little subdued the weather couldn’t have been nicer for
visitors to the Wawanosh Nature Centre this past Sunday for the annual fall colour tour.
Whether hiking trails or taking advantage of the wagon rides, folks had a chance to enjoy the
