Presentation made
for 10th anniversary
Continued from page 1
on a steady incline since 1998 when
it started.
To mark its 10th anniversary, a
small presentation was given at the
meeting, going over some history of
the convention and some plans for
the upcoming conference.
It will take place Jan. 10-12, 2008
at the London Convention Centre,
where it was held this year, and they
are hoping for 1,000 guests.
The organizers of the convention
are also confident they will be able
to feature over 100 exhibitors, 25
more than last year, and by far the
most yet.
Speakers for the event will be Ira
Blumenthal, Dan Murphy, Patrick
Moore, Patrick Sturgeon and will
feature a presentation from the
Cattlemen’s College.
The barbecue lived up to
expectations, feeding all those in
attendance, despite the unexpected
spike.
Guy closed his presentation with
an idea that encapsulates what the
association wants to do. As an
organization in Ontario producing
products for Ontario, the local
market is where their focus is.
Guy said, “What do farmers do?
They grow food. So what should our
farmers do? They should grow our
food.”•Fast Unloading •Trucking Available
