Plenty of trees were uprooted or branches torn off, pieces of barn roofs were lifted and anything basically not tied down was blown away. The worst hit of our area was Orville Storey’s place. The shed was completely destroyed and many of the trees around the property were uprooted and blown down. At the Storey home at the time were Murray and Sherry McCall in separate vehicles. Both were damaged by falling trees – talk about bad luck! Down the road a piece a barn behind the Sloan residence was destroyed and some coveralls further down were blown away.
