Visits from a grand-grand-grand niece, neighbours, friends, relatives and former students from far and near were greatly appreciated. Her cup indeed runneth over with many good wishes, flowers, balloons and gifts. Thank you to Joscelin and Owen who were so gracious as the guests were arriving and leaving and Erika for helping at all the stations so capably. Thank you to mother’s young friends, who not only played an instrument for her birthday but for all the other days they visit making her feel young at heart. Thank you to Stewart Toll, a former student, who serenaded the visitors with familiar bagpipe tunes honouring mother’s Scottish heritage. Thank you also to the fiddlers and guitarists who had everyone’s toes tapping with the old- tyme music. The behind-the-scenes friends and relatives who washed dishes and organized the food deserve my never-ending gratitude.
