Livestock for the week ending May
11 were 2,530 head of cattle, 686
lambs and goats. On Tuesday the
fed steers and heifers sold $1 to $2
higher. The choice steers and
heifers sold $104 to $108 with sales
to $116.75. Second cut sold $100 to
$103. Cows sold $4 to $5 higher.
On Thursday veal sold on a steady
trade. Lambs sold $5 to $10 higher.
Sheep sold under pressure. Goats
sold on a strong active trade. On
Friday calves and yearlings sold $2
higher.
There were 413 steers on offer.

As families ate inside Londesborough Hall last weekend,
shoppers, such as Tom and Marj Duizer, eager to spruce
up their gardens were hard at work picking out their perfect
plants just out front of the hall. Plants were on sale this
