Central Huron Secondary School
will be hosting an All Years’
Reunion May 19-20. Several events
will be held over two days.
CHSS will be hosting decade
rooms where students can view their
old yearbooks and mingle with
fellow classmates. A student versus
alumni basketball game will be
played in the new gymnasium. The
highlight of the festivities will be the
gala dinner with entertainment and a
dance to follow.
The weekend will cap off with a
Sunday morning pancake breakfast.
All CHSS alumni are encouraged
to register before March 18 to ensure
the event will be viable. Former
students can register online at
www.amdsb.ca/CHSS/ALUMNI/ or
phone the school at 519-482-3471.
In November, a survey was e-
mailed to all alumni registered with
the CHSS alumni website and
results showed a majority of the
alumni supported a reunion. The
next step is for all alumni to register
for the event. Alumni who register
before March 18 will pay $100,
saving $25. Guests attending the
reunion who are not alumni will pay
a fee of $50. A $40 tax receipt will
be issued to all alumni.
The reunion is designed as a
fundraiser for Central Huron
Secondary School. Money raised
from the reunion will go towards the
completion of the new school
gymnasium.

Our sympathy is extended to the
family of Everett Scrimgeour who
passed away this past week.Sympathy is also extended to thefamily of Lloyd Josling who passedaway this past week.Don is now a patient in ClintonHospital, so most of my time is spentthere. If anyone has information tobe included in this column it can beleft on my answering machine, ordropped off to Fred at Tasty Treats to
Go or Stay, 428 Queen St., Blyth.
We continue to have support from
family, friends and neighbours. One
of Don’s nurses in University
Hospital called him an international
patient as in one day he had phone
calls from Texas and Florida. He is
doing as well as can be expected. We
just take one day at a time. He
enjoys having visitors for short
periods of time.

Guest speaker, Sandy Morris of
Clinton, welcomed everyone. The choir sang an anthem. The children came to the front ofthe church during the singing of thelast verse of the hymn. Sandyshowed the children jelly beansrepresenting things children do andan Easter cream egg whichrepresented God. She asked the children what they
put first, God or things they liked to
do. Most children said things they
liked to do.
She filled a jar with the jelly
beans, then put the Easter egg
representing God on the top and jelly
beans spilled out on the floor. But
then she put the Easter egg in first all
the jelly beans fell in around it. So if
you put God first everything will fall
into place.
The children went downstairs to
Sunday school. Sandy’s message to
the adults was about communities
working together to find a treasurer.
