Miss Frances McCrea, Byron, was
in Belgrave for the week-end, the
guest of her sister, Mrs. A. M. Perdue.
The sympathy of the Belgrave com-

the United Farmers' Co-:operative also

directors meeting of the Federation of

Trinity A. Y. Pa A.
The A.Y.P,A. of Trinity Church met
last Friday evening at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. C. H. Wade, with over thirty
members in attendance. The meeting
opened by singing "It came upon the
midnight clear", followed by prayer by
Mr. Henderson. The president, Miss
Nora VanCamp, presided over the bus-
iness meeting. The reports of the sec-
retary and treasurer were read and ad-
opted. It was decided to cancel the
meeting scheduled for December 19th,
and Mrs. Leander Boucher invited the
members to hold their next meeting on
January 2nd at her home. Audrey
Bradburn and Norma Brydges will be
in charge of the program for the next
meeting, the Log •Book is to be pre-
pared by Tom Wade and the topic by
Jean Cartwright. Muriel Brydges read
the Log Book and Mrs. Boucher gave
a topic entitled "Songs from Heaven",
Bud Cruickshank then showed colour-
ed slides and moving pictures. Lunch
was served and the meeting closed with
a sing-song of Christmas carols in
which, everyone heartily joined.
Ladies' Guild
The regular meeting of the Ladies'
Guild was held at 'the home of Mrs.
Cooper Nethery with a good attend-
ance, During the business discussion
it was decided to-join with the other
churches in the Clothing for Britain,
drive. The clothing to be left in the
Red. Cross rooms, the parcels will be
sent from Blyth, Ont., to Blyth, Wales.
A box was to be placed in the church
to, collect food donations. for Britain
for the next two Sundays. The holi-
day bells were brought in, also the
birthday box was completed. The el-
ection of officers was held with the fol-

H. Henderson, Mrs. J. VanCamp, Miss
E. Procter; President, Mrs. F. Shoe-

The Sixth Line Farm Forum met at
the home of is.Irs. John Scott with an
attendance of twenty-one,
It was decided that rural school tea-
chers could make the best contribution
to the community by encouraging and
guiding community memberi to take an
active leadership in social and educa-
tional activities.
The next meeting will be held at the
home of ,Mr, Ivan Wightman with
Chas. Smith as leader.
Games were under the leadership of
Audrey Bradburn and Ivan Wightman.
Christmas Carols were sung with Mrs
Bradburn at the piano and refresh-
ments were served.
