Wylie and Mrs, Gilbert Howes pack-
ed and through Mrs. F, B, Millward
delivered a basket of dainties to their
newly adopted soldier, private Robert
Riley, R.C.N, of Christie Street Hos-
pital, Toronto, Private Riley, a native
of Newmarket, 24 years of age was
through the invasion and had a wide
experience on active service. His in-
pletely, was received while diving. A
jury which paralyzed his body corn=

Family Reunion
Mr. and Mrs. Jack McTavish of
Galliwan, Sask., returned to their
home on Thursday last, A few days
previous Mr. McTavish was guest of
honour on his '76th Birthday, when a
group of relatives numbering 36, gath-
ered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dav-
id Walker, (nee Isabel McTavish),
Vordwich, A social time and picnic
lunch was enjoyed. Mr. McTavish
was a former resident of the 4th line
of Turttberry and old friends here join

Saturday night here under the arcs
the Wingham Hurons trounced, the
Walkerton Bobbins Mens A entry
20-4 in an exhibition affair. Despite
the cool weather a large crowd saw
the Huron combine for 14 hits off two
opposing hurlers. Craig started on the
mound for Walkerton and was relieved
in the fifth by "Biff" Cassidy, who.
formerly pitched for Gurney's in the
town softball league here several sea-
sons ago. Jardine on the mound for the
locals was never in difficulty, fanning
ten batters and allowing only five hits.
Aitchison for Wingham connected
for a circuit drive in the fourth, Groves
led the batting parade with three hits,
walked once, flied out once. For Wal-
kerton Bradley in •centre field starred
with several remarkable catches,

Belgrave All Stars Win
The Belgrave All Stars and the
Londesboro .B WOAA entry tangled
here Wednesday evening with the Bel-
grave nine edging out the visitors 5-4.
Edgar stole the show for Belgrave
with a round tripper. For Londesboro,
Walter, Taras and Carter were on the
mound while Higgins performed for
the All Stars.
Trailing by one run Belgrave rallied
in the seventh to score two runs and
cinch the game. McClenaghan walked,
Elston field out, Edgar hit, Reavie
was safe on an error, Procter flied out,
Higgins singled to score,' Edgar and
Reavie, and then was tagged out steal-
ing second base.

Girls last Tuesday 7-5 in an exhibition
