The dwellings on Dinsley Street in
course of construction by Mr, Geo.
Radford, are pretty well advanced and
it is expected will be ready for occup-
ation late next month,
-The annual decoration service was
held in Union Cemetery on Sunday
afternoon last. There was a good at-
tendance. Rev, Mr. Moore of Belgrave,
gave the address assisted by Rev. Mr.
Rodgers of United Church, 'Myth, Mr.
Cook was in ,charge of the service of
song,
Miss A. Gillespie visited her nephew
and niece in St. Thomas last week, re-
turning home much improved in heal-
th.
Mrs. Sheffield and. daughter, Lillian.
McLean of St. Catharines, visited the
former's sister, Miss A. Gillespie.

Henry Campbell
Henry Campbell of Belgrave died
suddenly at his home on Sunday, July
18th. Ike was the youngest son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell,
and was born in East Wawanosh,
where he lived until moving to Eel-
grave Seven. years ago. ,
The deceased attended the Belgrave
United Church and was a Member of
the LO.O.F. and telgrave 462.
He is survived, by his wife, the for.
riser Elizabeth Jane Bruce, and one
brother, Hugh, of Franklin, Manitoba;

of E. Wawanosh, Miss Minnie Camp-
bell of Clinton and two brothers, Jos-
eph of Manitoba and Robert of ick ,
son, predeceased him.
The funeral was held from his late
residence on July 16th., with interment
in Brandon cemetery.
Francis Clarence James
After an illness of two years, Fran-
ces Clarence James of Marnoch, pass-
ed away at the home of Mr, Harry
Cook, Belgrave, on Wednesday, July
'9th. He was in his 67th year.
Mr. James was born in Toronto and
received his education at St. Michael's
College. In early life he was in the
dyeing and pressing business with his
father, but Came to Marnoch to live/
about 21 years ago. Ill health forced
him to give up his home and for the
past 16 'months has resided in Bel-
grave with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cook,
Requiem High Mass was sung in
Sacred Heart Church on Friday, July
11th, at 9 a.m. Interment was made in
St. ichael's Cemetery, Toronto. The
pallbearers were Harry Cook, Richard
Chamney, Albert Vincent, Ben Rich,
Ed. Rich and Jack Ernest.

The minutes of Council meeting
held in Bluevale on July 7th., 1947.

Moved by King and Powell that the
minutes of last 'meeting be adopted as
read, Carried.
The following letters were read:

A delegation of ratepayers were

proposed incinerator to be built in the
Township. ,
Moved by King and Fischer as re-
quested by petitions presented by rate-
payers of the township in W.T.P. re-
garding the proposed incinerator to be
blaced in Power Plant, that we will
not permit the installation of said in-
cinerator in the Township of Turn-
berry as it is deemed a public nuisance.
Carried.
Moved by Powell and Fischer that
the rate of $2.00 per hour be charged
for the grading of lanes in the Town-
ship. Carried.
