Therefore the Council of the Town- ship of Morris enacts that all expen- ses in regard to spraying for the War- ble Fly be charged to the road accounts of the Township and that the mill rate be raised sufficient to take care of ex- lows; No cattle shall be brought into the municipality between the 1st day of April and the 30th day of June in any year during the continuance in force of the By-Law unless they have~ been treated for Warble Fly during the- current year, This By-Law having been read three: times, was finally passed on tire 5dt day of May; 1947. . Bosnian of Wingham, were guests on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bosnian. Mrs. H. Mathers of Lucknow, is vis- iting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wightman. The farmers are glad to see the wea- ther warmer and arc busy working on the land and are hoping for good seed- ing weather. Mr. and Mrs. Ray McVittie of Clin- ton, Misses Marjorie McVitttie of Blyth, and Dorothy and Roebrta Mc- Vittie of Goderich, spent Sunday with Mr. and.Mrs. Wm. McVittie. The pictures which were to hand been shown in the Westfield school on Monday night were cancelled owing to, the illness of the teacher, Miss Jamieson and several of the pupils. MORRIS COUNCIL The Council met on May 7th., in the Township Hall with all the members present. The Reeve presided. The miyutes of the last meeting were read and adopted on motion of Joe Yuill and Sam Alcock. Minutes of special meeting of April 26th,, read and adopted on motion of Harvey Johnston and Joseph Moved by Chas. Coultes seconded by Joe Yuill that a By-Law be passed covering section 2 of the Warble Fly Control Act, and that all expenses be charged to the road accounts of the Township and the mill rate be raised sufficient to take care of expenditure in connection with spraying from this date on, Carried. At this point the Reeve had to leave to attend another meeting and Coun- cillor Harvey Johnston occupied the Reeve's Chair for the remainder of the meeting. Moved by Sam Alcock, seconded by Joe Yuill that Chas. Coultes interview A, E. Nethery in regard to assessing and that he be granted the privilege of attending the Association of Assessing Officers if he is going to carry on as Assessor. Carried, Moved by Joe Yuill, seconded by Sam Alcock that a grant of $50.00 be given to Brussels Fair. Carried. Moved by Chas, Coultes, seconded by Joe Yuill that the Road Liability Insurance be renewed with the General Accident Insurance Co, Carried. Moved by Chas.
