Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Fal-
coner.
Mrs. Geo, Naylor, who spent the
winter months at the home of Mrs.
Wm. Robinson and the late Win. Rob-
inson of Lucknow, returned to her
home on the 9th of East home
Monday last,
Mr, and Mrs, Alfred mason of Wing
ham, spent Sunday with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. John Mason of East Wa-
wanosh.

West Wawanosh, arc returning this
week from Florida, and Mrs. Phillips
resumes her teaching in Fordyce on
Monday next. Miss Thelma ,Caldwell
of Blyth, has been supplying for her
during her absence.
Miss Marion Irwin of Wingham,
spent the week-end with Miss Roberta
Mowbray.
Miss Annie Kennedy of Wingham
Hospital, spent a few days last week
with her mother, "Mrs. David Kennedy.

icle I read recently, From the family
meals to the dinner we're planning to
give Some very special guests, we won-
der what is best to serve-what will
be enjoyed, what, if we're contemp-
lating guests, they like and have no al-
lergies or dislikes for.
I'm going to suggest °a menu that
should have few dissenters among
either the family or visiting friends,
'today's Menu
Dreaded Veal Paced Potatoes
Frozen: Green Peas
Perfection Salad
Hot hails or Muffins
LemOn Cake Pie
treaded veal
a I, al Steak
2 egg whites
2 tablespoons flour
Mix sugar and flour together, add
well beaten egg yolks and gradually
add the milk and melted butter, next,
add lemon juice and grated rind. Cut
and fold in the egg whites beaten until
stiff. Pour into an unbaked pie shell
and bake 15 minutes at 450 degrees
F., then reduce the heat to 325 deg. V.,
and bake another 30 minutes,

Mr. Bob Adams motored to London
on Saturday to see his father, Mr. Wm.
Adams, who fell from a scaffold on
which he was working on Saturtlay
night, and was taken to St. Joseph's
Hospital with his shoulder broken and
bad bruises on his head.
Nurse Mildred McClenaghan of the
Wingharn Hospital staff, spent a few
days last week with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Geo. McClenaghan.
Mrs. Cameron Simmons and baby,
Nancy, arrived from Wingham on Sat-
urday at the borne of her sister, Mrs.

Mr. Matt, Thompson has been in
Westminster Hospital, London, during
the past week, and Mr. Bob Ross after
several weeks there is now able to be
around on crutches.
Russell Gaunt and J. D. Beecroft
unloaded a car of fertilizer at the sta-
tion here last week.
Mrs. Jack Thompson, who has been
seriously ill in Wingham for some
weeks, returned to her home here last
Wednesday and has been making stea-
dy improvement.
Rev. G. M. Newton has been under
the doctor's care for the past few weeks

Cut the veal into individual pieces
for serving, sprinkle with salt, score
meat well. Beat the egg slightly, add
milk dip veal pieces first in roiled
cracker ertinibs,thea in milk mixture,
then back in crumbs and saute a rade
brown in hot fat. Add a little Water
to the pan, cover and let simmer either
on top of Stove or in the oven, until
tender, about 1 hour. Serves 4 to 6.
