Mr. Wilfred Walker, bro- ther of the groom was best man. The wedding music was played by Mrs. J, f. Coultes, aunt of the bride and Miss Gladys. McBurney, •cousin of the bride, sang "I Love You Truly". The bride's mother received the guests wearing a two-piece dress of deiph blue with sequin trimming and a corsage of red roses, she was assisted by the groom' mother, receiving in a two-piece olive green dress, with a cor- sage of yellow roses, After the cere- mony a wedding dinner was served to immediate relatives. For travelling the bride wore a gold coloured dress with a brown coat and brown accessories. Following a wed- ding trip to Sarnia and Port Huron, London and other points, they will re- side on the groom's farm East Wawa- nosh. Collar - Sundercock The home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Sundercock, 14th concession of Hullett Township, was the scene of a lovely autumn wedding, when at 11 a.m., on --- Saturday, October 5th., their only dau- ghter, Elinor Audrey, was united in marriage to Reginald T. Collar, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Collar, Wingham The wedding ceremony was perform- ed before a bank of hemlock, inter- woven with pink and white larkspur, in the. living room of the bride's home with the Rev. A. Sinclair, pastor of Blyth United Church, officiating. The bride was given in•marriage by her father, and was gowned in pale pink silk crepe, street-length, with short sleeves, pleated 'bodice, and pep- lum, trimmed with pale blue. Her flowers were a corsage of pink Briar- cliff roses and a bandeau of the same in her hair, tied with pink and silver ribbon. Her only ornament was a gold locket and chain, .a gift to her maternal grandmother from 'her grandfather over fifty years ago. Miss Annabella Waymouth, Wind- sor, cousin of the bride, was the brides- maid, gowned in a grey silk crepe, street length dress, with short sleeves, tucked bodice and peplum. She wore a corsage of Hollywood roses tied with green, and the same for a bandeau in her hair. Mr. Frank Collar of Wing- ham, brother of the groom, was best man. • - • Mrs. Hugh Ball, cousin of the bride's mother, played the wedding march from Lobengrin, She, also played the wedding march for the bride's mother and father, at their wedding, 25 years ago. The bride's gift to the !brides- maid was amethyst and pearl ear-rings, and to the pianist, a gold arrow brooch set with three pearls. The groom's gift to the bride was a gold locket and chain, and to the best man, a gold tie and collar set, Following the wedding ceremony a dinner was served to some forty guests in the dining room, Centering the table was a beautiful three-storey wed- ding cake, topped with a white car- nation, Other decorations were in pink and white. The bride's mother received in a dress of powder blue, trimmed with sequins, The groom's mother' wore a dress of royal blue and a corsage of red roses, Guests from a distance were present from Toronto, Hamilton, Wingham, Clinton, and Brampton. Pletch Sellers A pretty wedding was solemnized at noon on Saturday, October 12th., 1946, at the United Church Parsonage, Blue- vale, when Miss Helen Madelene Sel- lers, elder daughter of Mr. Earl Sel- lers and the late Mrs. Sellers of Mor- ris Township, became the bride of Harold Ernest Pletch, son of Mr, and Mrs. Herbert Pletch, Morris Town- ship. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Arthur* lL Hewitt, The bride was charming in a street length dress of white wool crepe stud- ded with silver nail heads with hat to match. Miss Marie Sellers, her sister's bridesmaid, wore a blue crepe dress, cut on similar lines as that of the bride. The groom was supported by Mr. Claire VanCamp of Belgrave. Follow; ing the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's father, where her grandmother, Ors. Carrie Sellers, received the guests wearing a two piece dress of black crepe and sequin trim. A wedding dinner was served to over forty guests by four girl friends, Mrs. Gowing, Miss Lela Agar, Miss Gloria Clark and Miss Mary McDonald. The groom's gift to the bride was a strand of pearls, to the bridesmaid, a gold compact and to the best man, a bill fold. For travelling the bride wore a lime green dressmaker suit with black ac- cessories and a sequin hat, On their return they will reside on-the groom's farm on the 4th concession of Morris. Guests were present from Toronto, Teeswater, Walton, Brussels and Bel- grave. Johnston - Mason The Brick United Church was the setting for a lovely Fall wedding on Wednesday, October 9th, when Dor- othy Catharine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mason, Belgrave, was un- ited in marriage to Fleming Edgar Johnston, youngest son of Mr. David Johnston of Bluevale, and the late Mrs. Johnston. Rev. G. H. Dunlop perfor- med the ceremony, and the wedding music was played by Miss Gwen Stew- art of Lucknow, during the signing of the register Mrs. Philip Stewart of Lucknow, sang 'I'll Walk Beside You'. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a floor length gown of white organza and a floor length veil, she carried a bouquet of red roses and her only orament was a string of pearls the gift of the groom. The matron of honour, Mrs. Parker Campbell, sister of the bride, wore a long gown of mauve taffet with mat- ching shoulder length veil and carried a nose-gay of pink , roses. The two bridesmaids, Mrs. Kenneth Mason, sis- ter-in-law of the bride, wore a long frock of pink crepe sheer, and carried a nose-gay of pink roses, and Mrs. Charles Johnston, sister-in-law of the groom, chose a long frock of yellow taffeta and carried a nose-gay of yel- /OW roses, Each wore matching el, bow length veils and bandeaus. Little Louise Campbell, cousin of the groom, was gowned in a long dress of blue Faectrine crepe; shoulder length veil, and carried a nose-gay of red roses and blue corn flowers, The groom was atterided by his brother, George Johnston of Belgrave. The ushers were Charles Johnston and Lloyd Ma- son, Later a reception for sixty guests was held at the borne of the bride's. parents, The bride's mother receiving in a mauve silk jersey dress with black hat and wore a corsage of yellow ros- es. On their return they will reside in Waterloo, Ontario. Guests were' present from Toronto, Port Burwell, Listowel, London, Kin- cardine, Staffa, Auburn, Hensall, Kip- pen, Centralia, Lucknow, Winghain, Bluevale and Belgrave. Wahl Benedict The home of Mr, and Mrs. David Benedict attractively decorated with ferns, white mums and lighted tapers was the setting on Saturday Afternoon, October 12th, for the marriage of their only daughter, Noreen. Alveretta, to Mr. Arthur A. Walil of Waterloo, soft of Mr. and Mrs, Albert Wahl of Wat- erloo. Rev. W. A, 13eecroft officiated. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a street length dress of ivory wool with ,matching accessories and carried a bouquet of 'raltsman roses, She wore a string of pearls which was a gift of the groom, Her .bridesmaid, Mrs. C. Zankie of Waterloo, sister of the groom, chose a pastel pink wool dress with matching ceessories and a. bouquet of pink ros,, s. Mr. C. 7.ankie was groomsman.
