The Girls' Auxiliary of St. Stephen's Church met at the rectory 'on Monday evening, and with some assistance from Senior members and mothers a quilt was quilted. Devotional exercis- es were conducted by Mrs. J. C. Caley after which lunch was Served, W.M.S. The October meeting of the Worn- aces Missionary Society was held' at Mrs. Whitley's home on Thursday evening with seventeen ladies present, Mrs, A, Stephens had charge 'of the devotional Vagrant with the thane, our Church Membership in Christlike lives. Mrs, Hastie played qtriet music which was followed by a prayer, Litany for rural people led 'by Mrs, Stephens. We sang hymn "Jesus Calls Us o'er the Tumult" and Leader led ht prayer. Scriptural passages were read by Mrs. Bradnock, Mrs. Hastie and Mrs. Gamble. ,Mrs, Maine sang a begto spiritual, "Lord I want to be a Christian in My I-1mq". A poem "The Indian Road" was read by Mrs. W, Xing. After singing hymn Prayer to my Heart, Mrs. Step- hens and Mrs. Hastie very ably ,pre- sented the study, India at the Thresh- hold.
