The Agriculture meeting of the W.
I. was held at the home of Mrs. J, M.
Coultes with a small attendance. Mrs.
G. Higgins was convener of the pro.-
gram. The President, Mrs. J. S. Proc-
ter presided and opened the meeting
with the opening exercises and various
reports. Correspondence included a
letter announcing the Achievement
Day to be held at Clinton on June 22,
also an appeal for the Cancer Fund.
$5.00 was contributed to this appeal.
Mrs. Win. Kelly and Mrs. Nelson Hig-
gins were appointed as delegates to at-
tend the District Annual in Auburn
on June 21st, Mrs. G. Higgins and
Mrs. J. M, Coultes volunteered to care
for the cemetery flower bed, A splen-
did motto on "Spring" was given by
Mrs. N. Keating of Wingham. Miss
Jean Leaver favored with two pleas-
ing piano solos, "Country Garden" and
"Coming in on a Wing and a Prayer".
A splendid addres 'and demonstra-
tion on cheesmaking was- given by
Mrs. Richard Procter. Roll call, "Pro-
ducts made from milk" was well re-
sponded to, also an exchange of slips,
roots or bulbs. Collection was receiv-
ed and meeting closed with the Na-
tional Anthem. Lunch was served by
the hostess, assisted by Mrs. N. Hig-
gins, Mrs, M, Barnes, Mrs. G. Walker,
Mr. Lloyd Taylor of Toronto, with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orval Tay-
lor.
Miss Noreen Luttrel, London, spent
the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
Johnston.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Jones and little
daughter, Susan, of London, visited
with Mr. and Mrs. John McCallum.
Mrs. Stanley Halliday and daugh-
ters of London, with Mr. and Mrs. W.
Brydges.
The many friends of Miss Edith
Procter, are sorry to hear that she is
ill in the Wingham Hospital. •
Rev. Austin Budge will be in charge
of the services in Knox Presbyterian
Church on Sunday, June 2nd, at 2.45
p.m.
Among those attending the gradu-
ation at Victoria Hospital, London,
last Tuesday were, Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
VanCamp, Mr. and Mrs. John Van-
Camp, Misses Donna and Kay Van-
Camp, Mrs. John VanCamp, Sr., Miss
Nora VanCamp, and Mr. and Mrs.
Dave Murray and Mrs. Jas. Taylor of
Wingham. Miss Norma VanCamp was
one of the graduating class.
J. C. Procter lost one of his team
last week when it was killed by light-
ning.

tended the funeral of Mrs. Sam Neely
at Port Huron last Wednesday.
