Ross of Wingham, on "Care of the Teeth," His talk was illustrated by slides, shown by W. A. Galbraith also of Wingham. The school children, with their teacher, Miss J. McDonald, attended for this part of the program. The meeting was conducted by Mrs. J. M, Coultes, vice-president, assisted by the secretary, Mrs. R. Procter. The roll-call was responded to by the nam- ing of a well-known statesman. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Perdue and children of Torontto, visited with Mr. and Mrs. A, Perdue. ,Mr. and Mrs. Fred Oxley of Hain- Brussels Minister Preached The Gorrie United church held their Anniversary services on Sunday, Oct- ober 21st., when most beautiful weath- er favored and large gatherings at- tended morning and evening, Rev. Hugh Wilson, .of Brussels, was the special speaker at the morning ser- vice, he chose for his text in Acts 26: 19,, "I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision", stressing the need of conversion in the hearts of men and women. The choir sang an anthem, "Praise the Lord, 0 Jerusalem". Mr. and Mrs. W. Earngey of Fergus assist- ed the choir and rendered a beautiful duet "A lovely rose". At the evening service Rev. Mr. Wilson spoke from two texts taken from the prodigal son, "Father give 'me" and 'Father make me". The message was particularly addressed to the yoting people, who have their de- sires for wealth, pleasure or other fan- cies, and parents have great responsi- bilities in granting what is best for the childrens welfare, The choir sang as their evening anthem, "0 give thanks unto the Lord", Miss Jean Sparling sang very ably and pleasantly sang "The Holy City".
