Hester Quinn of Thamesford, and they
farmed on the 2nd of Culross, where
their family of two sons and two
daughters were brought, and another
daughter died in infancy. About thir-
ty years ago they moved to East Wa-
wanosh, but for the past ten years
Mr, and Mrs, Falconer have lived at
Caledon,
Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn
hiin, two sons, Cecil and James of East
Wawanosh, and two daughters, Mrs.
Elgin Welwood (Allie), and Mrs, Ar-
thur Cronin (Norah) of Caledon, and
six grandchildren, one of whorne, Lieut
Riohard Welwood, who has been with
the Navy in Vancouver, B.C., spent
the past week at his home in Caledon.
The funeral was held on Saturday
from the home of his son, Mr. James
Falconer to Whitechurch Presbyter-
ian Church, where the service was in
charge of his pastor, Rev. A, H. Wil-
son, his neice, ,Miss Marjorie Falconer
of Wingham, sang "Good night and
good morning". Six of his nephews
acted as pallbearers, Jas. McInnis, W.
McInnis, Arnold Hogg, Win, Falconer
John Falconer and Calvert Falconer,
Interment was in Tiffins cemetery,

OBITUARY
Ann B. Carr
Following an illness of nearly two
years, Miss Ann B. Carr passed away
Saturday noon, October 6th, at the re-
sidence of her brother, Mr, George
Carr, corner of Bristol Terrace and
Main street, in her 88th year, Miss
Carr was born at Caledonia and when
a very young child came with her par-
ents, the late Mr, and Mrs. James Carr
to Wingham, She has resided here
since except for a short time spent at
Clinton and Windsor. She was a tail-
oress and was employed by her broth-
er, George, until he retired in 1937,
A member of St. Andrew's Presby-
terian Church she was one of the old-
est members, having come to Wing-
ham prior to a Presbyterian Church
being established here. Surviving are
three brothers, George, Alfred and
James, all of Wingham.
The funeral service was conducted
at the residence of her brother, George
by the Rev, Alex Nimmo on Mon-
day afterdion. Burial took place in
Wingham cemetery. The pallbearers
were four nephews, Neil, James, Ed-
gar and Harry Carr, also Carmen Hay-
den and Norman Wilson.
John Lockhart Falconer
John Lockhart Falconer passed a-
way at the home of his son-in-law, Mr.
Elgin Welwood in Caledon, on Wed-
nesday last, after a serious illness of a
few months. He was in his eighty-
third year, a son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. Falconer of Langside, and

A. pretty autumn wedding was sol-
emnized at high noon on Tuesday, in
Knox United Church Manse, Auburn,
when Rev. Harold J. Snell, united in
marriage, Lillian Ruth, eldest daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Thomp-
son, Donnybrook, and Mr. John Ely-
mer Tiffin, Wingham, son of the late
Mr. and Mrs, Elymer Tiffin. The
bride wore a street length dress of
frosty blue with long silk fringe and
blue felt hat, and corsage of pink car-
nations. Miss .Bernice Durst of Ben-
miller, was bridesmaid, and wore a
light blue wool, street length dress,
blue hat and corsage of .dark pink car-
nations. Mr. John Leitch of Belgrave,
was best man. A reception was held
at the bride's home, The rooms were
decorated in pink and white creamers
and autumn flowers. The guests num-
bering about 25 were seated at a long
table covered with a linen cloth and
centred with the bride's cake. The
dinner was served by Mrs. Edwin
Mills, Auburn, Miss Norine and Miss
Helen Mills, Goderich.
For travelling the bride donned a
two-piece gold dress, blue hat with
gold ostrich tips and blue coat with
red fox trim, The young couple left
for Detroit, where they will spend
their honeymoon. Prior to the wedding
a large number of the Donnybrook
congregation met in the basement of
the church and presented Ruth with a
shower of miscellaneous gifts.
