Convention Report Given By Mrs,
Price
The September meeting of the Wo,-
men's Mission Circle of the Baptist
Church was held at the home of Miss
R, Lewis on Thursday afternoon with
a good attendance. The Vice-Presi-
dent, Mrs. Geo. H, Scott was in
charge, The meeting opened with the
hymn, "There, are lonely hearts to
cherish" after which Mrs, Falconer
offered prayer.
It was with great pleasure that the
Vice-President welcomed Rev. J, K.
Holland and Mr. and Mrs. McDuff'
Copeland, who were conducting the
special services in the Town Hall, also
Mrs. J. Lucas who is back in Wing-
ham. She expressed the hope that
these visitors would favour the group
on other occasions,
The scripture lesson was read by
Miss Densmore, from 1st, Corinthians,
chapter 13. The Secretary's report
was received and roll call answered
with a verse of scripture. Mrs. Cope-
land rendered a beautiful solo, "When
Jesus Came." which was greatly ap-
preciated. Business was then discuss-
ed. Mrs. Frank Collar read a. poem,
entitled, "Bright Shining As the
Stars." Mrs., Hudson read an interest-
ing article on the Leper Clinic Bethes-
dada Hospital Pithapuram" which is
under the leadership of Dr. A. Jervis.
This proved highly informative. The
hymn "Throw out the Life Line" was
sung and Mrs. Copeland and Rev.
Holland rendered the duet "Let the
Lower Lights be Burning" which they
repeated at the meeting in the Town
Hall in the evening at the request of
this gathering. Mr. Copeland accomp-
anied them, also playing for the
hymns.
Mrs. Pryce gave the report of the
convention of Middlesex-Lambton
Association of Baptist Churches which
was held earlier in the month. The
report was inspiring and was much
