our wish that all our many friends

As the pages of time are turned year

never will the historians have so much
to tell as when they record the hap-
penings of the past War 'years, A few
ydata ago things looked very black
for the Empire. A few years ago we
were nervous and afraid of ; the future,
Today we are looking forward to
great Outdates by our military fortes.
Their road during this new year will
be frought with . great difficulties.
Many will not come back So when,
we are wishing our friends at home

for those so far away, a safe and
speedy return.-
