One year has passed dear Father,
Since God called you away;
But fond memories linger still,
And with us will always stay.
Your vacant chair has cast a gloom,
In a home once bright and fair;
As we think of the dear familiar face,
Of one who once sat there,
Your children's children miss you
more,
As Time it's shadows east;
But hope .their Grandpa dear has
found,
Sweet rest and peace at last.
Father and mother we say farewell,
In Earth's 111111'11)1e home a lonely
