In the afternoon the W. M. S. meeting was held with the president, Mrs. McVittie, presiding, Christmas Carols were sung during the meeting, The • Scripture lesson, The Christmas Story, was read from the 'various gos- pels by Mrs, Walter Cook. Mrs, R. Vincent, Mrs, Alva McDowell, Mrs. W. McVittie. Christmas • readings were given by Mrs. Marvin McDowell, Mrs, A. E. Walsh, jVIrs. McVittie. Prayers were offered by Mrs. MeVit- tie, Mrs, M, McDowell, Mrs, R, Vin- cent. Eleven members answered the roll call, The treasurer reported over, $180,00 raised during the year. The secretary gave a brief report on years work, It was decided to send Christ- mas boxes to some of the boys in the service.
