He is able to be around, but still painful. Mrs, Aitken Engaged, As Teacher Miss Edna Procter, who has taught in the Bluevale Public School this year has tendered her resignation and Mrs. AL L. Aitken has been engaged as teacher. Mrs. Aitken is no strang- er having taught here for a number of years before going to Hollen and her home is in the village, Miss Donna Gerrie, Wing-ham, spent a couple of days with her little friend, Eleanor Smith. J. H, F, Timmins, Toronto, visited this week with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hutcheson and other friends. George Hetherington, Ross Smith and Charles Mathers attended a L.O. service at Listowel on Sunday. Mrs. Inglis, Dundas, spent Sunday with her cousin, George and Mrs. G. A, Love. Mr. and Mrs, Frank Stamper and family, Mrs. J. H. Smith and daughter Muriel, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Clene Yeo at Paisley. Mrs. R. McLennon, Mrs. Alex Mac- Ewen and Miss Louise Patton, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Charley Jones at Auburn. Mrs. Laura Kirton is spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. Michie in Morris. Miss Margaret Curtis is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Harold Procter. Mrs. F. G. Fowler, Mrs. J. J. Elliott and Miss Olive Scott, attended an Executive Meeting of the Maitland Presbyterial Society of the W.M.S. of the Presbyterian Church in St. And- rew's Church, Wingham on Friday. Mrs. Mooney and son Roy, Toronto, spent Sunday with Mrs. A. D. Smith. Roy will spend the summer here. Mr, and Mrs. George Donaldson, Miss Sanderson and Mr. Thomson,. of Toronto, are spending the next month at their home here. Dunlop, ministers of the local churches, Members of the Cemetery Board and Women's Institute Execu- tive, also two of the church organists. The service ,will be held . on Sunday, July 5th at 3 in the afternoon, cons ducted by local ministers with a guest speaker to give 'the address. Special musical numbers will be given. School Held Sports Day A very successful Sports Day was held at Bc1grave School on the after- noon of Thursday, June 18. The win- ner of the girls championship was Muriel Brydges, grade 5. The boys championship was awarded to Tommy Wade; also of grade 5. Such a keen interest was taken in these sports that it is hoped that this may become an annual event, at this school, Held Lucky Tickets The lucky tickets for the tray and cushion, made by the Junior Red Cross of Belgrave School were drawn on Friday last.
