Visibility was nil and her car
struck a Snow bank. Because of
the icy condition of the road she
was unable to free the car and had
to resort to walking, seeking a
farm `house and telephone. Little
could be seen in the blinding
snow but she knew that she had

surface of the road was
hazardous and there was the fear

came to a laneway and although
she could not see the house,, she

let her husband Jan know her
