Homemaking Club Achievement
Dar for "Feat uring Fruit" for
this area was held at the Grey
Central Public School on ,
Saturday, Dec. 3.
The morning program began
with the registration followed by

Mrs. Mac Engel
• The Sacrament of the Lord's
Supper was celebrated in. Knox
Church on Sunday of ternoon.
Following the service a social
time was held in the basement of
the church when Mrs. Stuart
McNair was honoured for her
many years as organist. Dr.
Thomson spoke briefly and Leslie
Knight presented Mrs. McNair
with a picture painted by Mrs.
John A. Perrie. Mrs. McNair
moved to the Cranbrook manse
along with her parents the late
Rev. W.A. and Mrs. Williams
and brothers Maldwyn and Ivor in
1927. She has recently moved to
Brussels and will be greatly
missed by her many friends but it
is hoped that she will be back
many times in the future.
The Ethel Area Achievement
Day for the 4-H club "Feat .uring
Fruits" was held 'on Saturday in
the Grey Central School. Seven
clubs took p art with skits and
exhibits. Provincial Honours
given for completing twelve clubs
the presentation of the leaders'
badges. There was a quiz on
material from project Menu
Completion and Fruit Talks.
The afternoon programme
consisted of demonstrations,skits
and exhibits when a large crowd
was on hand. There were seven
clubs taking part.
Walton I "Apple Dumplings'
had an exhibit - "Fruit and
Cheese Trays with Karen Plas as
were presented to. Joan Hart,
Cranbrook and Joan Huether,
Brussels. Leaders of the
Cranbrook "Fruitellos" were
Rosemary Terpstra and Janet
Veitch.

Mr. and Mrs. John Strickler
have moved recently from
Listowel to the 14th con. Grey
Twp.
The Christmas concert under
the auspices of the W.I. will be
held on Friday evening, Dec. 9 in
the Community Centre. Come
and enjoy an evening with local
talent.

The spring project for 1978 will
be "Focus on Living" which
involves le arning about good use
of leisure time, government and
citizenship, first aid, and
maintaining good health. As
well, members will have a chance
to complete any items of quilting,
knitting or crocheting.

won the Premier Breeder 'and Exhibitor award at the
Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. It was the fourth year in a
row that Mr. Turnbull and his wife, centre, have taken '
