present a play, "Mirror, Mirror",
at the Blyth Memorial Hall on
'Monday, December $ at 2:00 p.m.
The play is based on the writings
of various Canadian writers,
including area resident, Alice
Munroe.
James Roy, the artistic director
of the Blyth Summer Festival, is
the director of "Mirror, Mirror".
The play is being produced by
Theatre-Go-Round, a new
company formed to bring theatre
to public and high school
audiences.
Area residents will be pleased

Blyth Memorial Hall will be
vibrating with the sounds of
Christmas next Thursday.
A Christmas Special called the
"Tots to Teens Christmas
Variety Concert" will make its
debut on that night. Youth from
Blyth and neighbouring
communities including Brussels,
Teeswater and Clinton will
perform.
It will feature the Clinton High
School Choir., the Cross Country
Cuties, the 4 Macs, singing,
for this performance, Well known
in Blyth, she has been with the
Blyth Summer Festival for the
past three summers..

"Mirror, Mirror" has been
adapted from the works of Alice
Munroe, Margaret Laurence,
Gabrielle Roy, Sylvia Fraser and
Margaret Atwood, by the artistic
director of Theatre-Go-Round,
Patricia Mahoney. The play is a
sensitive blending of exerpts from
the writings of these autho rs,
and deals with the growth of
women from childhood to old age.
Often funny, sometimes heart-
breaking, the ' play strikes a
responsive chord in the
audience.
"Mirror, Mirror" will be in
Blyth for one afternoon only. For
. January 25 and March 17 and a advance tickets phone the box

soccer title

The Ankle Bruisers and the
Foot Fortresses played 2 games in
a total goal series.
The first game was won by the
Foot Fortresses. Jacquie
Robertson scored the only goal.
The second game was also won
by the Foot Fortresses. June
Adams scored on a break away.
The Foot Fortresses win the
Series 2 goals to 0 and are the
girls soccer champions.

practise knots
The Brussels Wolf Cub Pack
met Nov. 15 at the school. The
meeting opened with the Grand
Howl.
After attendance, dues and
inspection, Akela talked to the
Cubs about the World Conserva-
tion Badge , followed by Knotting.
Practise and a six game called
Weavers. After that, we heard
the results of last week's test on
the Country Code ancl_enjoyed a
game of Floor Hockey.
In the final circle Mark
Breckenridge was invested and
Verne Bridge was presented vith
the House Orderly Badge. Greg
Ryan was welcomed as a new
Chum and members said goodbye
to Sean Silver, who is moving to
London.
Antique Car Club
plans party
The Maitland Valley Reion of
the Antique Ca\r Club met in
Neustadt on Nov. 15. In absence
of the president Max Watts,
George Brown presided.
Mrs. Lloyd Forler, treasurer,
reported a successful yeal,
Donald McNeil spoke of the
Normoskoka Tour which will be.
held in the Kitchener area in
1978.
The annual Christmas party
will be on Dec. 17.
The January meeting is to be
held in Glowanstown Hall on Jan.,
17. Antique Automotive Films,
"Years of Adventure" and "The
Thirties" were enjoyed.
