Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Huehn, Conestoga, and son Stewart of Elmira visited on Wednesday with Miss E.M. Steiss.- Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Strickler spent several days last week in Richmond Hill. ' The Western Ontario Provincial assembly of the Canadian Foresters was held in Goderich on t he weekend and was attended by 250 people. High Court officer Bro. Patterson from Manitoba and a group of members from Eas, tern Ontario also attended. A special project of a whirpool bath for Huronview was reached, amounting to $4655.00. Over $8000.00 was donated to cancer research, all made available through Christmas candy sales, a beef draw, quilt and afghan tickets, donations etc. During the meeting Bro. Ginn of Court Benmiller was given the Forester Officers and directors of the Brussels Agricultural Society completed plans on the annual meeting of the society at a meeting held at the residence of president Graeme Craig, Tuesday evening of last week. The annual meeting was set for January 17 in St. Ambrose Church, Brussels: Of the year award. .Bro. Jack Conley of Atwood Conrt was appointed Chaplain of Western Ontario Provincial Asseraity, Court Fascination. of Kinburn: received the Court Activity. award. Mr, and Mrs. Jack Conley attended the western Assembly and with approximately 30 other Foresters attended the Sunday morning service at Londesboro United Church where Rev. Stanley McDonald is the minister. Directors agreed to sponsor field • crop competitions in ensilage and grain corn, barley, mixed grain and beans in 1978.
