In the finals for the boys soccer
it was the Fuss 'n Booters vs Toe
Tappers in a 2 guile, total goal
series. The first game was taken
by the Puss 'n Booters with a win
of 3-9, The goials were scored by
Kevin McArter, Bradley Wright
and .Dean Rutledge.
For the second and final game
it was a 1 all tie. Scoring for the
Puss 'n Booters was Stewart
Cardiff and for the Toe Tappers,
Terry Glanville. The winning
team was the Puss "'n Booters
with a total of 4 goals defeating
the Toe Tappers, who had a total
of 1 goal.
The winning team was; Stewart
Cardiff, ' Kevin Pennington,
Bradley Wright, Gordon State,
Rodney Becker, Paul Machan,
Dean Rutledge, Wayne

LUXTON B. THUELL
Luxton B. Thuell, 66, of 98
Charles St., died at Princess
Margaret Hospital in Toronto
Saturday.
Born in Brussels, Ontario, the
son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Robert J. Thuell, he moved to
Stratford , 48 years ago.
Since then, he was in charge of
the laundry department of the
Stratford General Hospital.
A member of •St. Andrews
Presbyterian Church, Avon Lodge
No. 41 Independent Order of
Oddfellows; and the local hospital
bed committee" of Oddfellows and
Rebekahs, he was a past Noble
Grand of the lodge and chairman
of Hall Trust.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Helen Legg; a son,
William R. of R.R,2, Seaforth; a
daughter,Mrs. Ronald (Anne)
Watson of 197 Maple St.; three
brothers, Cloyne, of Gowans-
town; Kenneth and Glendon, both
of Palmerston; three sisters, Mrs.
William (Bernice) Lemon, of
Lincoln ' Park, Mich., Mrs.
Charles (Lenore) Murcar and
Mrs. A rthur (Freda) Carr, both
of Palmerston; and one
grandson.
Avon Lodge No. 41 I.O.O.F.
held a memorial service at the
funeral home.
The funeral service was held
Tuesday afternoon at the
Heinbuck Funeral Home.
Interment followed at Avondale
Cemetery. .
MRS. CHESTER HIGGINS
Mrs. Chester Higgins died at
her'residence on Dinsley Street in
Blyth on Friday, November 11.
She was 81.
Born in the Wroxeter area, the
former Margaret Brown, she was
the daughter of the late Leonard
Brown and the former Margaret
Miler and livedllin the W rloxeter
area until moving to Blyth 27
years ago.
She was active in the Blyth
Women's Institute, the Blyth
U.C.W. and the Blyth Horti-
cultural Society.
SurviVing are a daughter,
Lenora (Mrs. Charles Daividson)
of London and a son, Joseph
Higgins of Mitchell. Also
surviving are two grandchildren
and five great grandchildren. S
