The guest speaker was Mr.
Bert Morin. Mr. Morin was
talking about the Second World
War, Angela Nethery, Glenn
Hunter, Jennifer Kikkert, and
Paul Coultes presented some
thoughts about Remembrance
Day.
Mark Hussey, Veronica
Bakelaar and Graham' Taylor
presented the poem "In Flanders
Fields" by John McCrea.
Mr. Nicholls presented a film
called "Canada in World War
II".
Church. Interment was in the
Brussels Cemetery.

Mrs. Cliff Bray
A surprise party was held
Saturday evening in the Council
Chambers for Edyth Cardiff in
appreciation for 30 years as Clerk
of Grey Township. She was
presented with a beautiful picture
from the present and paS't Council
and employees of Grey Township
from 1947-1977.
The present Council also
presented Mr. and Mrs. John
Gillis with a wedding gift. A
pleasant evening was spent
playing euchre and bingo.
Mr. Roy Hall is a patient in
Listowel Hospital.
Mrs. Ted Gill has returned hcinie
from a three-week Holiday in
Florida.
WILLIAM H. BELL
William H. (Bid) Bell died in
Wingham and District Hospital,
November 11th in' his $5th year, A
lifelong resident of Brussels he
served with the Canadian Army in
both world War I and II and was a
charter and life member of the
Royal Canadian Legion Br. 218
Brussels. In his youth he actively
participated in many sports in the
district.
He is survived by daughter
(Margaret) Mrs. Ross BEnnett,
Walton and son Harris of Elora,
seven grandchildren and five
great grand 'children.
Predeceased by his wife, the
former Laura May Wheeler and
one sister Mrs. Cora Murray.
Funeral services were held on
Monday Nov:: 14th from the
M,L.Watts Funeral Home,
Brussels conducted by the Ito,
t.L.Lebrew ; of trusSels United
