George Langlois of George of Brussels attended a Seminar in Advanced Hair Cutting under Jason from Bruce of Cresendo of Toronto. His wife Pat was a model for hair cutting and colour demonstration, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kennedy, Bob ,Andrew, Deanna and Adrian of Ottawa, spent , the weekend with their mother, ,Mrs. Kennedy and visited with Roy Kennedy at Victoria Hospital, London. David Kennedy and son Michael of Hamilton spent Sunday at the same home. Mr. and Mrs. W. J.Perrie visited Rev, and Mrs. James Berrie of Shakespeare and all attended the Royal Winter Fair. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sweeney are holidaying in Western Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stephenson and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Nichol are vacationing in Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bean of Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. John Bean of Listowel called on Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cousins on Saturay. Melville Guild meets in church "Thanksgving" was the theme of the October meeting- of Melville Presbyterian Church Guild which met in the church parlour. Carol Innes read a poem on October and Thanksgiving and Thelma Cardiff gave the topic Thanksgiving Thought. Margaret McCutcheon presided for business. Isobel Adams read the secretary's report and Rose Marie Bish9p the treasurer's report.
