Scoring for the Booters were Gary Pipe, Bradley Wright and Stewart Cardiff and for the Explosives Bradley Sugg and D arcy Dobson. In series B. of the semi finals the Toe Tappers defeated the Phantoms 4 to 2. Terry Glanville led the attack for the To Tappers with 2 goals with Donnie Sholdice and Brian Wheeler scoring once. By Dianne Bernard and Michelle Reddy Brussels Public School went to H owick Central School for a soccer tournament on Oct. 26. The first game on the girls schedule was Grey Central against Brussels Public.The score was 2 - 0 for Brussels Public. Brenda Gordon and Barb Moran scored the goals for this game. The second game on the Girls schedule was Brussels Public againt Howick Central. The score was a 1 all tie. Baib Moran scored students performed several musical dances. The assembly finished off with Mr, Scott and Mr. Prior giving out Cross Country and Two Pitch Awards. Later on the Grade 2 class visited the Calendar Nursing Home. The patients enjoyed this very much. By Carla Knight and Kathy Wierenga the only goal for Brussels. The third game for the girls was Brussels Public against East Wawanosh. The score was 1 0 for Brussels. Barb Moran scoring the goal. The last game for in girls was Brussels Public against Turnberry. The score was 1-0 for Turnberry The first game for the boys was Brussels Public against Howick. The score was 5-0 for Howick. The second game for the boys was Brussels Public against East Wawanosh. By Shannon Rice Gr. II, Brussels Public School I enjoyed going to the apple orchard. It was fun looking at the trees in the apple orchard. It was nice to learn that if one tree dies they plant two new ones. I like delicious apples best. I remember that one little tree had one big apple on it. There are lots of things you can make with apples. We made applesauce at school with the apples Mr. and Mrs. Cardiff gave us. Thank you for the trip through the apple orchard Mr. and Mrs.L. Cardiff.
