Former Huron County Warden
Jack McCutcheon and Esther
attended the annual reunion of
the 1976 wardens at the home of
Orville and Jean Hughes, R.R.#2,
Bradford, Simcoe County on the
weekend. Wardens from the
Counties of Victoria, Lambton,
Wellington, Grey, Dufferin and
Bruce were also guests.
Mrs.W.W.Smith has returned
home after a two-week visit with
her son Ross and family of
Lethbridge, Alta.
Cubs learn
about caring
for animals
The Brussels Cub meeting was
held Tuesday, Oct. 25th and
members t alked about keeping
better care for animals on a farm
or wild. For closing ceremonies
the Cubs awarded Pat Maxwell
his carpenter and athletic badge.
The cubs raised $103.57 at Apple
Day.
At the Brussels Cub meeting
on Oct. 18 members worked at the
World Conservation Badge and p
layed Battleships, Washday and
Swing the Shot. On closing the
pennant was awarded to Green
Six. The Cubs would like to thank
everyone who gave to a very
successful Apple Day.
Mrs. Anna Baker of Maple
Villa, Brussels, is a patient in
Wingham and District Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. David Gowing,
Kingston, were holidaying for the
past week with Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Gowing and family.
Roy Kennedy has been a
patient in Wingham and District
Hospital since Wednesday of last
week. '

day in Brussels
The Legionnaires will hold a
tag day in Brussels on Saturday
Nov. 5th. The cadets will
dispense poppies as symbols of
remembrance for the war dead.
Please give as freely as you
can. The cost of poppies,wreaths
and campaign material have risen
in the past year.
