Mrs, Clare Veitch visited la, .st
week with her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick
Adams, at Manotick, Ontario,
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stager of
Mississauga, spent the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Clare Veitch.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack S,malldon of
St. John's, Michigan, visited for a
few days with. Mrs. MacEngel
and also visited other relatives in
the area.
Miss Mina Baker and Herb.
Hawkins attended the funeral of
the late Fred Martin at Thames-
ville on October 16. He was the
husband of the former Elizabeth
Baker.
Mrs. Stuart McNair moved last
week to her house in Brussels.

Area wedding
Knox Presbyterian,Church, Teeswater was the scene of a ?reify
fall wedding on September 17, 1977*henNancy Ann MacDonald,
. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh MacDonald, Teeswater, became
the bride of John Exel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hank Exel, Brussels.
Rev. Gerald Thompson Of Teeswater performed the double
ring ceremony. Miss Denise Kennedy of Teeswater accompany-
ing herself on the guitar rendered three songs and Mrs. Joanne
King of Brussels provided the wedding music on the organ.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Sisters of the bride were her attendants. Connie of Kincardine
was maid of honor and Kendra. of Kitchener, Debbie 'of
.TeeswatetlVvere bridesmaids.
Aunts of the bride, Mrs. Marjory Humphries crocheted the
baskets and Mrs. Millie Blackwell arranged all the bouquets.
Chris Exel of Milverton, brother of the' groom, was best man.
Friends of the groom, Ross. McCall and Gerry Wheeler of
Brussels I were ushers.
The couple received their 'guests at a reception at the
Teeswater Community Centre before leaving on , a trip to
Northern Ontario. The bride's carnation corsage was arranged
by Mrs Esther McCutcheon of Brussels.
The groom is employed at T.L.McCutcheon. Motors Ltd. and
the bride, a graduate of the University of Waterloo, at
McGillivray Chartered Accountants, Listowel. They will reside
near Brussels.
Prior to the wedding the bride was the recipient of bridal
showers in Waterloo, Teeswater and Brussels.
