A few new faces appeared showing interest in helping with hockey for the coming season. The meeting was chaired by President Bruce Hahn. After a very lengthy discussion and with a view to protecting midget hockey teams here in the future the following motion was made and carried. "As • of the • 77-78 season no midget age player will be released unless they make a ,lunior B team or better with the exception of any midget players who signed a Junior card in the 76-77 season." It was also decided to return to House League hockey this season and drop the travelling "B" teams. It will be open to girls as well as boys. It was felt there were several in the area that enjoyed playing hockey but not travelling with a team. President Bruce Hahn conducted nominations for a new executive who are: President-Bob Rowe, Vice Pres-Doug Machan, Secretary-Lois McArter, Treasurer-Marlene Rutledge. Registration night will be held on Friday night Sept. 30 from 7:30 -9:30 in the library. Please register on this night to give the organization a chance to plan and get . the season started early. Coaches attended a coaching clinic in Sea forth on Tuesday night and will be ready to get the year started off right. The association is still hoping for more interested people to referee hockey and get them to a clinic to help them get their cards. Please contact the secretary if you're interested.
