A letter was read about "Luncheon is Served," but was decided not to have it. The World Day of Prayer was announced for March 4 at 2 pm. with Rev. Ed Baker the speaker. The meeting was closed with prayer. A social half hour was enjoyed when lunch was served by Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. Uhler and the hostess. SNOWED IN At press time Tuesday the snow in Brussels and area had started to melt a little, for the first time this winter. But on the weekend, there was a snow bank almost up to the roof of the Barry Golley house in Brussels. Personals Allison and Lesley Traviss spent the past week with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Herb Traviss while their parents Dr. Brian and Mrs. Traviss of Waterloo were on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Moffett of Stratford spent the weekend at the same home. Come to the W.I. euchre on Tuesday, March 1 at 8:30 p.m. Lunch is provided. Institute members in charge were Mrs. Nelson Marks, Mrs. Emerson Mitchell, Mrs. Ken McDonald and Mrs. Allan McCall. Prize winners were: High lady-Mrs. Stanley Hillen, low lady-Mrs. Herman Plaas, High Gordon Murray, low man-Harold Bolger, Lucky chair, Mrs. Alvin McDonald. Mrs. Stewart Humphries won the door prize, a painted table centre piece donated by Mrs. E. Mitchell. Following lunch we were favoured with some good, old time music by Mrs. E. Mitchell and Mrs. Bill Humphries. The next euchre will be held on Tuesday, March 1 at 8:30 pm. He was 73 years of age. lifetime resident of the area, vas born on the 6th concession Trey Township, a son of the Oliver Smith and Mary and and attended school at .No. 3 Grey. n 1931 he was united in rriage to Adeline Burnett of ra, who survives, along with son Ross of Lethbridge, Alta., daughters, Isabelle, Mrs. ert Wheeler, Brussels and n, Mrs. Larry Lahn of foyer; three sisters Mrs. Jean lor; Mrs. Margaret Sweeney Brussels and Mrs. Marjory chic of Walton"-rand two hers Charles of Blyth and es of Brussels. HAZEL DELL VAN CAMP Hazel Dell Van Camp of Belgrave died Tuesday, February 15 in .Wingham and District Hospital following a long illness. She was 75. Born in Morris Township on August 18, 1901, she was educated at Belgrave Public School and Wingham High School. She was the daughter of the late James Taylor and Jennie Taylor of Brookhaven Nursing Home. Her husband, to whom she was married at her parents' home in During the week .February 14 - 20, officers at Wingham. Funeral services were held Thursday from the S.J.Walker Funeral Home in Wingham. Rev. Fred Carson officiated, assisted by Rev. R. Armstrong, Wingham. • Pallbearers were grandsons, Raymond, Keith and Gary Van Camp, and Harold Jardin, Len Zevengurgen and Gary Black. Flower bearers were Graeme Anderson, Jack Taylor and Ronald Van Camp. On Saturday, February 19, Doreen A. Balaski of GOderich, Ontario was involved in a single car accident on County Road #25 at County Road 22, East Wa.vvanosh Township. Doreen A. Balaski was injured as a result of the accident, as well as two passengers in her vehicle, Ruby J. Irwin arid Terry A: Gordon, both of Goderich.
