Bosmans mark 50th. anniversa

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bosnian
observed the 50th anniversary of
their marriage on Jan., 22. Irene
McKinney of Bluevale and
Charles Bosnian of Morris were
married in 1927 in. Bluevale
United Church parsonage. They
farmed on the 2nd line of Morris
until retiring to Wingham in
1970. They have been active
members of Bluevale and
presently of Wingham United
Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Rosman have two
sons, Jack of Woodstock and
Edwin of Penticton, B.C. and six
grandchildren.'
Several events have been held
to honor Mr. and Mrs. Bosman on
this occasion.
A family dinner was held in
August when all the family was
present including the attendants
of 50 years ago, the bride's sister,
Mrs. Cecil Griffiths of Guelph and
her brotheto Eldon McKinney of
Bluevale and West Palm Beach,
Florida.
A group of Wingham friends
called Tuesday 'evening of last
week and spent a social evening
with the Bosmans. Browntown
Euchre Club also held a surprise
party on Wednesday when gifts
were presented to the bride and
groom.
On Sunday a reception took
place at Bluevale United Church
when more than 160 friends and
relatives called to express their
good wishes. .Relatives were
present from Milton, Woodstock,
Leamington, Northville,
Michigan, Harriston, Guelph and
Kitchener.

Despite inclement weather, 123
members of the local Women's
Institute attended the January
meeting at the home of Mrs. Mel
Craig.
Mrs. Jim Armstrong opened
the meeting with the Opening
Ode, followed. by the Mary
Stewart Collect. Secretary Mrs.
Bill Peacock read the minutes of
the November meeting, along
with a number of thank-you
cards.
It was announced that the
group would entertain the
esidents of Brookhaven Nursing
Home in April and Callander
Nursing Home in May. Mrs. Alex.
MacTavish was chosen to attend
he quilting training school at the
Salvation Army earlier this week.
A delegate will be picked next
month to attend the officers'
conference at the University of
Waterloo on May 3.
The 4-H training schools will be
