'Christmas Is' theme of Walton school concert “Christmas Is” was the theme for the Walton Public School Christmas concert held in the church basement of Duff’s United Church. Thursday afternoon Dec. 18. The welcome, “Christmas Is” was given by Jeremy Beuermann with interviewer, Darcy Bachert, shopper, Tara McLellan. The choir sang, “Christmas”. The kindergarten students pre­ sented a Nativity Play. Mary was played by Abby Dietz; Joseph, Kevin Bernard; angel, Carali McCall; donkey, Jason Thompson; camels, Nicholas Den Haan, Sarah McLellan, Melisa Driscoll; shep­ herds. Janice McCallum. Kerrie McClure, Jennifer Lubbers; wise­ men, Jamie Smith, Darrell Dalton, JamieEmmrich; house owners. Melissa Harrison, Theresa Mc­ Clory, Ellen Workman; kind man, Robbie Mitchell; interviewer, Christopher Saur; shopper, Sarah Lamble. The kindergarten recitation “But I didn’t want mittens” was performed by Melisa Driscoll, Jason Thompson, Ellen Workman, Nicholas DenHaan, Sarah McLell­ an, Theresa McClory and Melissa Harrison. The shopper was Steven McNall. The choir sang, “Who is coming on Christmas Night?” Grade 1 performed a choral reading, “Must Be Santa”. Grade 3 performed a dance, the Virginia Reel.
