The Citizen, 1986-12-30, Page 13Chambers blanks Centennaires BY LOIS McARTER The Brussels Bulls were at home to Seaforth Centennaires on Sun day, Dec. 21 for the usual good game of hockey between the two teams. End-to-end, scoreless hockey continued until 1:09 remained in the first period when Blake Flett found the mark on a pass from Kevin Lee and Kevin McArter to give Brussels a 1-0 lead. The same brand of hockey continued in the second period as both goalies made several saves and the period remained scoreless. It was almost a repeat performance of the first period with just 1:24 left of the 20 minutes when Kevin Lee scored after being Set up by Kevin McArter and Tim Fritz. It was at the 17:02 mark of the third period when Mike Vincent flipped the puck in the net in a scramble around the Seaforth goalie to give the Bulls a 3 - 0 lead. Eight minutes later Kevin Lee scored from Mike Chapman for the second goal of the period, and then just 37 seconds later Paul Robinson beat the goalie assisted by Mike Chapman and Blake Flett. The remainder of the period was scoreless and goalie Pat Chambers earned No. 1 star of the game for keeping Seaforth off the score board. The weekly home game draw of $50 was won by John Turner of Harriston. The draw of $ 100 for the month of December was won by Ron Smith of Listowel.
